What ResMed Does Better

AutoCPAP Algorithm

ResMed's AutoSet algorithm is the most clinically researched AutoCPAP algorithm available. It adjusts pressure breath-by-breath based on flow limitation, snore, and apnoea events. If your prescription is AutoCPAP (variable pressure rather than fixed), ResMed's algorithm performance is industry-leading.

The Yuwell BreathCare range uses fixed-pressure CPAP (YH-360) or BiPAP modes (YH-725, YH-825) without AutoCPAP capability. If your prescription specifically requires AutoCPAP, Yuwell's current Australian range is not the right fit.

myAir App and Remote Monitoring

ResMed's myAir app provides nightly therapy data — AHI, mask leak, hours used, pressure events — in a patient-friendly format. Sleep clinics using ResMed's AirView platform can access your data remotely and adjust your therapy without an in-person visit.

This is significant. A ResMed AirSense 11 AutoCPAP retails in Australia for $1,400–$1,800. The Yuwell YH-360 fixed-pressure CPAP is $749. For a patient who simply needs reliable fixed-pressure therapy without remote monitoring, the clinical difference is minimal and the price difference is $650–$1,050.
