Defibrillators Australia — TGA-Approved AEDs

Defibrillators Australia — Buy TGA-Approved AEDs Online

Vectr Medical supplies TGA-approved automated external defibrillators (AEDs) to workplaces, schools, aged care facilities, sports clubs, and homes across Australia. Every AED we sell is sold and supported by NATA-certified biomedical engineers — the same team that services defibrillators for Queensland Ambulance Service, NSW Ambulance, the Australian Federal Police, and the Australian Defence Force.

Why AED Quality and Service Support Matters

The 2025–2026 CellAED administration and HeartSine supply recall reminded the Australian market that not all AED suppliers are equal. A device that fails in a cardiac emergency — or a supplier that isn’t around when your pads expire — is not a cost saving. It’s a liability.

Vectr Medical only stocks AEDs our own engineers service and certify. We are authorised service providers for Philips HeartStart and ZOLL — meaning we have direct manufacturer training, access to technical bulletins, and the ability to carry out warranty repairs in-house.

SA AED Legislation — Now in Force

From 1 January 2026, the South Australian Automated External Defibrillators (Public Access) Act 2022 requires privately owned commercial buildings with 600m² or more of publicly accessible floor space to have a compliant AED installed. Fines of up to $20,000 apply for non-compliant properties.

Vectr Medical supplies complete SA compliance packages: TGA-approved AED + wall cabinet + signage + NATA-certified annual testing certificate. Read our full SA AED compliance guide.

What to Look for When Buying an AED in Australia

  • TGA registration — only TGA-registered devices may be legally sold as medical devices in Australia
  • Authorised supplier — buy from an authorised service provider who can handle warranty claims and servicing
  • Ongoing support — pads, batteries, and calibration certificates are ongoing requirements, not one-off purchases
  • Compliance documentation — NATA-certified testing certificates are required by most insurers and WHS frameworks
