The 90-degree variant of the Gentec FM197BS-15L SIS Oxygen Flowmeter — same internal calibration and safety features as the standard model, with the inlet angled 90 degrees from the body. Designed for installations where the flowmeter needs to project outward from the wall pipeline rather than aligning straight, common in compact ward setups, ambulance medical-gas panels, and confined clinical spaces.

    Key Features

    • 90-degree angle — suitable for tight or angled installations.
    • SIS oxygen-specific inlet — Australian clinical standard.
    • Maximum durability polycarbonate construction.
    • Long service life.
    • Integrated safety valve.
    • 0-15 LPM flow range.

    Specifications

    • Gas service: Medical oxygen
    • Flow range: 0-15 LPM
    • Inlet: SIS, 90-degree angle
    • Construction: Polycarbonate hood and tube
    • Safety: Integrated safety valve

When to choose 90-degree over straight

Choose the 90-degree variant when the wall-pipeline outlet sits in a tight space (corner, narrow bay, equipment-rack mount) and a straight flowmeter would protrude awkwardly. The angled inlet keeps the body of the flowmeter aligned with the working space rather than the pipeline. For standard ward outlets with adequate clearance, the straight FM197BS is the simpler choice.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Is calibration affected by the 90-degree angle?
No — internal calibration is unchanged. The angle is in the inlet fitting only; the flow tube and float behave identically to the straight variant.

Can I use this with cylinder oxygen?
The SIS inlet is for wall-pipeline use. For cylinder oxygen, use a regulator with the matching SIS outlet to bring the supply to SIS standard, then connect this flowmeter.

Standard or 90-degree — which is more common?
Straight is more common in standard ward installations. 90-degree is for specific tight or compact-mount applications. Choose by your installation geometry.
