The fully automatic version removes the shock-button decision from the rescuer. In studies, untrained rescuers using semi-automatic AEDs sometimes hesitate to press the shock button. For sites with untrained or unfamiliar responders, fully automatic is the safer default.
Are paediatric pads sold separately?
No — the included CPR Uni-padz cover both adult and paediatric. Just engage the paediatric mode on the unit when treating a child under 8 (or under 25 kg).
Is the AED 3 noisy compared to older AEDs?
