Can I use these on an adult in an emergency?
In a true emergency where adult pads aren't available, paediatric pads can be used on an adult — the reduced shock energy is suboptimal but better than no defibrillation. Always prefer adult pads on adult patients when available.

Does this come with the firmware update?
The firmware update is a separate process — contact us to organise if your AED is older. The pads themselves only work with v1.203+ firmware.

Why are paediatric pads more expensive than adult?
Lower production volumes — paediatric AED rescue is rarer than adult, so paediatric pads aren't manufactured at the same scale.
