Why single use matters

Lancets are designed to be used once. A reused lancet is blunted, which tears the skin rather than piercing it cleanly. That means more pain, faster callus formation on the fingertips, and a higher infection risk. Callused fingers then need deeper lancet settings to draw blood, which makes testing progressively more uncomfortable over time.
